We're Getting Married!

They were both high school students when they met, but they did not attend the same high school. Otis went to a small christian private school while Willandria attended a much larger public school. He was 18, while she was just turning 16, the official "daddy legal" age to date. Although, she had already had a couple of "boyfriends" before him. (Shh. Don't tell her father I told ya'll that!) Anyway, he asked her out on Facebook and they went on their first date to Applebee's right in Winter Haven, FL. They "talked" for about a month before he officially asked her to be his girlfriend on April 17, 2010. They both attended each other's proms, homecomings and graduations from high school; and ultimately stayed local for college and attended Polk State College (PSC). Two years later, Willandria departed and finished her degree at the University of Central Florida while Otis remained local and finished his degree at PSC. As they began to find themselves through their college journeys, regardless of the change, the love always remained the same. They've experienced many firsts together and have been through many life transitions. From births, deaths, new discoveries, big wins, major losses and everything in between, they have continued to support one another and have each other's back. So when 9 years, 8 months and 12 days went by and he asked her to marry him, the answer was yes and will always be YES! It is their prayer that God blesses their union and that their love continues to grow and flourish until the end of time. "I loved you then, I love you still, always have, always will" #TimelessLove

Otis and Willandria got engaged on 12/29/2019, after almost 10 years of dating. Otis rented out a movie theater and had all of his and Willandria's family and friends present in that ONE theater. Somehow, he convinced her that she was going to see a movie that he was starring in (FYI: He REALLY DID star in a local community film) and she thought everyone was simply there to support him. When the “film” began, a Warner Brother's logo appeared, followed by a slideshow with photos of him and her on the big screen. There were photos from when they first began dating all the way back in 2010 included in the show. All while the love song, “Why I Love You” by MAJOR played in the background. At the end of the video, the statement “forever seemed like a long time until i thought about spending it with you” came across the screen and Otis appeared from around the corner with a box and ring in his hand. He expressed his love for her, got on one knee and asked her to marry him, as all of their family and friends screamed with such joy and excitement in support of their union. Willandria loves sharing this story and describes it as one of the BEST days of her life. While Otis willingly shares the behind the scenes chaos that easily had him sweating bullets ALL week long! Regardless, i think that it is safe to say, it was an AMAZING way to end the year. Ten years down and FOREVER to go!

As the future Mr and Mrs Wilson prepare for this joyous occasion, we ask that you all join them in prayer that the Lord blesses their union forevermore.
