Maid of Honor
My older sister, Jackie Rose, has always guided the way for my brother and me. From being valedictorian of her class to first chair all state, she set the standard high. She not only excelled in her academic life but was also the most understanding person. She was kind to everyone - whether she knew them or not. Her strength is still unmatched, and I strive to be even an ounce like her every day. I wish she was standing by my side on my wedding day, but she will absolutely not be forgotten and will most definitely be felt. When you see roses around on the big day, know they are for her.
Best Man
Brandon and I grew up like most brothers - fighting, making up, and trying not to break things in the house while playing home run derby in the living room. Sports were always a big part of our lives, and we spent a lot of time playing basketball in our driveway or destroying our shed in the backyard by throwing baseballs at the painted-on strike zone. I may have been a little tough on him at times but always wanted to be someone that he looked up to. I've enjoyed watching him grow up from my annoying little brother into an amazing man, husband, father, and one of my best friends.
Matron of Honor
Jamie (aka Jimmy/JNak/J/Hula) has been my best friend since 6th grade when we met at Milwee Middle School. She refused to tell me her name in band class but eventually came around to the idea of being friends. She has loved me through the worst days of my life and laughed with me on the absolute best. You can catch Jamie flying into town for 24 hours just to be there for a big day or important moment. I've always admired Jamie's strong exterior but insanely loving and kind core. This past May, I got the honor to stand next to Jamie on her wedding day and could not be more excited that she'll be next to me on mine.
Groomsman
Travis has been my best friend for almost two decades now after we met in 5th grade at Northview Elementary School. We took a couple days off from friendship after he punched me in lip at basketball practice in 7th grade, but were right back to best buds after he offered me a free shot to get even (which I didn't take him up on). Travis is someone that always knows how to push your buttons but can also make you laugh harder than anyone else. He is one of the most funny, loyal, and wild people I know. He is truly like a brother to me and always has my back. I couldn't imagine getting married without him standing up there with me.
Bridesmaid
Nicole (aka Pickles/Nikki) and I met in 5th grade during Vacation Bible School at my church but really became close in high school. She's my life long dance partner and the ultimate ride or die. While we were in college, she drove to UCF almost every Thursday and spent the whole weekend with me as the 5th roomie. Even though Nicole is a new mom now and works full time, she always sees me every single time I make a trip back home. I will forever appreciate how she makes time for the people she loves and never lets a visit past without a sniff.
Groomsman
Michael and I met while playing football at Trine University over 10 years ago. Since then, he's become my roommate, golf buddy, and one of my best friends. His "Golden Retriever" personality and commitment to physical fitness make him one of the most energetic, kind, and dedicated humans I know. Don't be surprised if you catch him on the dance floor with his air guitar or trying to recreate the signature move from Dirty Dancing (he'll be the one jumping). The squad wouldn't be the same without Michael.
Bridesmaid
Amanda (aka Manders/Mandude) has known me since birth because she is my older cousin by 5 months. She is someone I go to when I want the honest truth... whether it's about something silly like a picture to post or issues more serious like what to do in a relationship. Amanda has always helped me navigate... like when I was so nervous about liking a cute guy that worked for the Colts (cough, cough)! She may have been the mastermind behind some of those initial texts. I can't explain how much our Facetimes mean to me and love you for always making it work.
Groomsman
Levi and I met in college and he quickly became one of my closest friends. We both played football, studied Sport Management, and did our internship together for Trine's athletic department. To this day, no one has stocked the concession stands better than us. He is one of the most driven, trustworthy, and genuine people I've met while also being one of the most goofy and an absolute nerd (just ask about his obsession with Marvel). Levi Lawson is someone I will forever look up to and always want on my pickup basketball team.
Bridesmaid
Lisa (aka Lee/Leezy) and I apparently met when we were babies since our parents knew each other, but we remember meeting in 4th grade. Lisa and I grew up neighbors, so it made playing outside and hanging out daily super easy. We played lacrosse together all throughout high school and made sure to visit in college, too. Lisa has held my hand when I've laughed so hard I peed myself and cried so hard I couldn't breathe. She is tough on the outside but no one loves harder than her. Even with two kids, she still makes sure we see each other every time I'm in town. More importantly, if you want to wrestle during the reception, Lisa's your girl.
Groomsman
Austin "Shoe" Shoemaker and I have been friends since we met in the running backs room (aka Coach Land's office) at Trine. At first, I admired how fast this guy could move on a football field but it soon became more about who he was off the field. His house on West St. was the perfect place to start (and end) a night singing karaoke and passing the air guitar around The Venue in Angola, IN. Shoe is compassionate, motivated, and a great friend to have in your corner. He'll probably be the one lifting Michael up in his attempt at the signature move on the dance floor.
Bridesmaid
Christiana (aka Chris/Max/Uncle Chris) and I are also cousins (she's my elder by 4 months), so we were raised pretty much as siblings. She is my absolute rock and the person I go to when I need to see both sides to a story. Chris is consistent - you always know what you're going to get, and there is truly nothing more comforting than that. You can catch Chris and I going on double dates to get any type of Asian food - but usually good sushi from Kabooki or Domu wings (and fun drinks, of course). I am so grateful Chris always makes time for our friendship.
Groomsman
I first met T-Smith at Trine catching punts with a gold-tinted visor on his helmet and long hair flowing out the back. After he cut his hair, we became close friends and eventually roommates our Senior year at 206 S. Superior along with Durham and Michael (s/o 206 boys). Travis is the type of friend you can always count on to drive down from Michigan to Indiana for a birthday weekend, house warming party, or the Indy 500 (one of these days we'll return the favor). If a rap song you've never heard starts playing at the reception, you'll probably find this guy at the DJ booth rapping all the lyrics.
Bridesmaid
Bailey (aka Bails/B) and I sat next to each other in 9th grade band class playing french horn. We both joined lacrosse our sophomore year and were with each other every day during and after school from there on out. Bailey is the best teammate I've ever had on and off the field. She played defense with me, and you can tell with how she shows up as a friend, too. She's been known to "take one for the team" if she thinks it's funny and others will laugh. Bailey is smart and loving and so kind you'll want to be a better person yourself. Come talk to Bailey if you want to hear a fun fact or about palindromes.
Groomsman
Keith and I first met selling tickets for the Indianapolis Colts. After many attempts asking me to grab beers after work and hang out on the weekends, we became friends. Second to getting his wife, Nicole, to marry him - our friendship might be the biggest sale he's ever closed. Keith is one of the most consistent and hilarious people I've ever met. His big personality and Long Island accent make him someone you gravitate towards or want to shut up. Either way, somehow you end up loving this guy. Keith never fails to remind us that his backyard birthday party kickstarted our relationship.
Bridesmaid
Jenna (aka Jema/Jem) and I met in lacrosse sophomore year of high school... or maybe it was dance class in 9th grade. Either way, it's been a long time. Jenna is strong and doesn't fear standing up for the ones she loves. She was the first friend to visit me when I moved to Ohio and having a piece of home there meant everything. No matter how far we live, we manage to see each other often. Jenna loves all things DC and doggos, so you can't go wrong showing her pictures of your pup during the wedding festivities. Be ready to have your dancing shoes on, though because she might just pull you onto the dance floor.
Groomsman
Dalton is one of my oldest pals, and we spent our early days as friends on the baseball field with me on the pitcher's mound and him behind the plate. Some would argue perhaps the greatest duo in Ole Miss youth sports history. Although we chose different places to go to college after high school, Dalton and I always remained close. We could go months without seeing each other but pick up right where we left off and never skip a beat. At 6'5", Dalton is a gentle-giant who loves cats and quoting comedy movies, so throw a line out from Step Brothers, and you might just become best friends.
Bridesmaid
Courtney (aka Kirt/Court/Kitty Chow) and I met in 6th grade at Milwee Middle School... probably in band class. We were in lacrosse and band together all throughout grade school and even worked two different jobs together in college (Simply Frozen Yogurt iykyk & Lyman Girls Lacrosse). I know Courtney will always be gentle with me even when I don't deserve it and she disagrees, and she has loved me through the thick of it. She's our local sommelier now, so if you need recommendations, you know who to go see.
Groomsman
Marshall is Audrey's older brother, my future brother-in-law, and both our go-to person for car advice. I was nervous to meet the man of the house after Aud and I started dating, but Marshall instantly made me feel welcome. We have easily bonded over our love for sports and the fact that neither of us can beat Rhonda in a game of Ruzzle. Marshall is extremely smart, quick-witted, and musically talented. I feel very lucky to be joining his family. Maybe someday he'll teach me to play the guitar.
Bridesmaid
Kristi (aka Kiss-Kiss/Kissti/Kris) and I instantly became best friends in Pre-K. We've been squeezing each other so hard since then that we've been warned a few times by our moms to calm down before we break a rib. Kristi's the type of friend to never shy away from a difficult conversation and is always willing to ask the hard questions. She is so nice though that you probably won't even realize you're having one of those convos. If you get the chance to know her, you are truly lucky enough. Kristi is a true Florida girl by heart and lives on the water, so if you're looking for local places to hang, she's your gal.
Groomsman
Penrod and I's relationship actually started as bitter high school rivals when our defense failed to hold him under 400 yards of offense every season we played each other. So it only made sense that we ended up being teammates, friends, and eventually roommates during our time at Trine. Preston is one of the most hard working, proud, and brand loyal individuals I've ever met. Outside of work, you can find him drinking Busch Light or in a tractor on a field in North Manchester, IN - sometimes both.
Bridesmaid
Alexis (aka Lexi/Sissy) and I are soon to be sisters and met a little over 3 years ago when Blake and I first started dating. She has always made me feel welcomed into her family and like I was home. I knew she was going to be a friend when she told me she wasn't one for small talk and wanted to get deep. Alexis' heart is so soft, loving, and kind, and I feel lucky to know her. She has brought so much joy into my life, and I am excited for all of the family time to come. I can't wait for her to be apart of my family and me apart of hers!
Officiant
Evan, Jamie's husband, became instant friends with Blake and Audrey when they first met which is pretty rare as adults. He is incredibly kind, genuine, and funny which makes it so easy to get along with him. When thinking of an officiant, Blake and Audrey wanted someone that knew them personally and equally, was a constant supporter, and loved hard in their own marriage. Evan is the perfect man for the job. Whether it's for something silly, like a housewarming party for a place they're renting in Indiana, or for a big day, like their wedding in Florida, Blake and Audrey know Evan will be there.
