We met in the seventh grade when Keegan moved to Etowah, we became close friends that year, but nothing more. Secretly both of our families begged us to be together, but we were both afraid of ruining an amazing friendship. Years passed, and we weren't as close as we were in middle school. That all changed in 2015 when we were put in the same chemistry class. (the chemistry was definitely there). Our relationship grew into something more, and was proven to be special one night laying underneath the stars at my house. We talked for hours, and in our hearts we knew we had found our forever, even at 15 years old. I love our story, because it proves that God's plan isn't bound by anything, even age.
After months of discussing, and preparing for the engagement, it finally happened. You see, our story isn't the typical one, I was completely involved with the planning of the proposal. From meetings with both of our families, to discussing the perfect scenario, even the ring! However, he still was able to completely astound me one day at Noccalula Falls. One Sunday afternoon we were hiking near the falls like we always enjoyed doing, as I was playing in the water, drawing our names in the moss, he knelled down and popped the question! I was so excited that I threw the stick that was in my hand on the ground and wrapped my arms around his neck. It was absolutely perfect.
