We'Re getting married!

Amanda was working and traveling as a photographer and videographer for local and national paintball tournaments. Spencer played and traveled for a local paintball team, 40 Factory. We had met through mutual friends a few times before at events or practices, but finally spent some time together away from the field at the now infamous 40 Factory Myrtle Beach trip. Mutually decided that, hey, maybe we could hang out without the entire paintball team around sometime. The rest goes down in history.

It was our 4 year anniversary, and I was pretty excited. We both had the day off work and I had gotten Spencer a pretty sweet new watch as a gift. First thing in the morning I gave him his card and present, and then went to work to give a surf lesson for a few hours. When I came home I was stoked (and fairly visibly disappointed) to find that I had 2 king size Reese's cup packages on the counter. We then went to an awesome lunch at Niche, Spencer sent me to get a manicure/pedicure and we went to Fort Fisher to go fishing. Obviously, I caught the biggest (and only) fish that day. By dinnertime I'm clearly disappointed that Spencer has obviously forgotten to get me anything for our anniversary. We had a whole bunch of Sushi at Yosake, a giant waffle cone each from Kilwins and went to walk on the Riverwalk. Its 9:00 at night - I'm convinced he's forgotten me. We walked all the way to the end of the Riverwalk, where I mentioned that I had taken a picture of him 2 years earlier. When I turned around to see why he hadn't answered me I found him on one knee. After giving him a good whack on the shoulder for making me think he forgot about me, I said "YES!"
