We’re getting married!

We met at Aladdin's eatery, we hadn't met in person yet and were both pretty nervous--she was obviously way cooler than me. I texted her asking if she had any dietary restrictions, she thought it was cute and said, "please don't be a murderer". But from the moment I saw her, I knew I was the one in trouble. We sat and talked for hours and learned that we had strangely similar childhoods and experiences. Being with her was so comfortable, it felt like old friends meeting again--we're convinced we must have known each other in a past life. I remember complimenting her extremely prominent facial expressions and contagious laughter. We couldn't stop smiling the entire night... It didn't take long for us to become best friends and start our lives together.

On our first date, I had mentioned that I'd always believed in the "Red String Theory". 'The two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of place, time, or circumstances. This magical cord may stretch or tangle, but never break.'. On the day of our engagement, I was getting ready for what I thought was going to be a date night. After waiting a good few minutes wondering where Jake was to pick me up, he sent me his location and a text saying "Come find me. Follow the red string.". I definitely got there in record time, but I arrived at my favorite park... and I saw a note tied to a tree with a red string. Each note led me to another, and the string led me all the way to him. He had a speaker set up playing our first dance song, my friend was hiding in a thorn bush with a camera, and he was waiting for me by the water. It was one of the most beautiful days of my life, and I can't wait for the many more to come.
