Monica Doyle

Best Woman

When you’re 14 years old, you can’t possibly imagine that the curly-girl you just met backstage doing “The Sound of Music” was going to become your sister-friend of 30+ years. We met in the 9th grade when I was a nun (singing alto 2...oh, yeah!) and she was the prop master. Despite our relationship starting with an argument regarding my prop, our friendship has lasted and grown more than I could have dreamed. Ever inquisitive, extraordinarily thoughtful, and eternally optimistic— Monica is a chosen sister in my “family” and I’m a better person for knowing her. And yes, I will admit that she won the argument and frankly, is usually right about most things!

Andrea Seberg

Best Woman

When we were kids, my sister Andrea was, as befits a big sister, both my idol and my nemesis: my idol, from whom emanated all essential rock music sensibilities and sarcastic sense of humor; my nemesis, whom I delighted in embarrassing and terrorizing, as young imps do. However, she always looked out for me, and as adults we are very close. She is the organizer that our mom was, and the dry wit that our dad was. She embodies all the best characteristics of the Olson family. I’m more than glad to count her among my champions.

Jodi Rowe

Best Woman

They say it’s hard to make truly lasting and deep friendships after your 20’s, but when I was singing with Dale Warland in my 30’s, Jodi joined the group and as they say, the rest is history. While on tour in Kansas City, we bonded over dinner and shopping for bridal lingerie for HER upcoming wedding! We are at the same time so completely the same and so completely different from each other—and I think that’s the real core and beauty of this sister-friendship. Everyone should be so lucky to have a friend with this big of a heart, a yen for adventure, and such contagious sassitude.

Erik Pedersen

Best Man

Erik is my oldest and best friend, a very wise man, fellow musician, and partner in crime. Since our college days as music majors, we have shared many interests and sensibilities, from classic cars to rock and roll gear, to medieval and Renaissance music. We have been there for each other through life’s most challenging and joyful moments and this past July, it was my great honor to serve my friend as the officiant in his wedding. He is definitely a teammate I hold in high regard.

Patrick Durkin

Master of Ceremonies

You know the type—every group has one. That friend who is a natural ring leader and organizer. A trusted voice of wisdom who effortlessly collects friends everywhere he goes because, seriously, who doesn’t want to know this guy? This friendship that started in our high school musical theater and over summers of tennis and soap operas has gone on to become one of my life’s greatest gifts.
