Update

We have decided, in light of the pandemic, that hosting a large wedding and reception would not be a good idea at this time. Instead, we will be getting married at the Catholic chapel at West Point on Saturday, February 13th, 2021. We will be celebrating in person with just our immediate family, maid of honor, and best man. However, we will be live streaming the ceremony so that you can all be a part of our big day! PLEASE ADD "Tenaya Brian Stecker" on Facebook to gain access to the live stream! Check out the Live Stream Event page for all the details. We are still planning on having a second ceremony and reception at a later date. Since we are not sure when that will be yet, we will keep you up to date since the most important part is that you will all be able to celebrate with us safely! All our love, Tenaya and Brian

Bride's Story

We met at a West Point football game shortly after I moved to NYC. It became very obvious that we were being set up by friends so that Brian could take me as a date to West Point's 100th Night Ball. Before we knew it three hour phone conversations became the norm and on 100th Night Weekend he asked me to be his girlfriend. Two plus years and three moves later here we are!

Groom's Story

We first met at a West Point football game in the fall of 2017, we had mutual friends who were dating that introduced us. I knew these friends wanted us to meet and hoped we would hit it off, but I didn't know what to expect. We stood next to each other at the game and I was extremely impressed at her knowledge of football, even if she wasn't all that familiar with fishing. A few weeks later I decided to invite her to one of our formal events at West Point and the rest is history that we are still writing.

About the Bride According to the Groom

Tenaya was born in Boston, MA. She only spent the next 6 months there, so her Boston accent isn't very strong. She grew up in Seattle, went to college at the University of Richmond and after graduating she moved to New York City. She was in a Spanish immersion program all through out her school years and speaks fluent Spanish! She is an avid cook and loves all things food, especially cheese.

About the Groom According to the Bride

Brian was raised in Saint Augustine, Florida where he grew up playing baseball (he was a pitcher), golf, and fishing. He attended Catholic school and later the United States Military Academy at West Point. Fun Facts About Brian: - He can recite the entire label of a Budweiser from memory - He likes his coffee either black or with peppermint mocha creamer - His most watched sport of 2020 was Formula 1
