I’ve had the privilege of growing up with Temi and one thing I can say is Temi knows how to brighten up a room. She’s someone I’ve always been able to rely on to encourage me in challenges and put me in a better mood. We had this running joke where Temi is actually my mom as opposed to my sister but funny enough she has been like an additional parent. Temi has seen me through my highest and lowest moments. She has always been front row supporting me and everyone who has the opportunity to know her can say the same thing! I remember getting a text message from a random phone number one day and it happened to be Dolapo. At this time, he still live out of state and he needed my help coordinating a surprise for Temi. One thing I admired was his intentionality. PD has always been open about his love for Temi and that is something I admired. Temi, I am really glad you found someone to love you the way you love others and I am so happy to be apart of this journey with you. I pray the joy of the Lord will never depart from your union. Oh mannn! I’ve known Temi for 10+ years now. We went from church members to good friends in that time frame! I can’t honestly remember the first time I met Temi, but I do remember her being being the girl that always cracked jokes! She could say the most basic thing and for whatever reason a laugh would still bubble out of me. Even when’s she was trying to be serious! When I first interacted with Dolapo through IG when he wanted to do something nice for her on her birthday. It was so lovely seeing my friend being loved so well even from afar! Temi, I’m soooo glad you and Dolapo met! This one is God-ordained & I’m here for every bit of it! Like I always say you’re graced for this! I met Temi for the first time in 2015. It was mainly through church and my brothers. When I first met her, she seemed like the most bubbly and friendly person I had ever met, which I later realized was just her being her natural self. She was nice to me and made me feel welcome, as I had just become a member of jubilee. Unknown to her, she has always been like a big sister to me. Being as we are both in the church choir, I look up to her when it comes to how she leads and carries herself. All in all, she is such a beautiful person on the inside and out, always projecting life and happiness wherever she goes. She is an inspiration to me, especially in her love for God, and I was so excited when I found out about her engagement to PD. I met PD at Praise power (a program Temi and I sang for) and at first, I knew him as the man of God who could really sing. I remember how after the program, I saw them talk, and something just told me they were going to get along. And to my pleasant surprise, about a year later, I saw an announcement of them dating on Instagram. I was so excited for them because to me it just felt right. With that being said, thank you Temi and PD for allowing me to be apart of your love story, a big congratulations to the happy couple and I wish you a lifetime of God’s grace and happiness.

Where do I even begin.. well, we can surely start from an era where my parents were calling her “Tami”, her Instagram handles were between “TemsTemTemi” or “MummyShowkey”, and we were living our best lives, turning up in MetroFusion almost every weekend.. Oh the days! From then to now, our years have truly been filled with such blissful memories. To know Temi is to deeply love her. She’s been my number one juicy gist partner, my ever so faithful hairstylist, was my ultimate Puerto Rico selfie partner, and a praying sister like no other. Thanks for always being there, with my favorite Chinese meal from the spot by your house lol 😉. I met Temi in 2012 through a mutual friend in college and I was immediately drawn to her jovial, humble and warm personality. We would hang out after classes on the weekdays and I got to know her better . One of my fondest memories of Temi was our Summer beach trip to Tybee Island in 2019; we had so much fun exploring the city. Over the years Temi and I developed a friendship that blossomed into sisterhood; we have held each others hand through different seasons further strengthening our bond, and I couldn’t be more thankful to be a part of Temi’s special day. I met Temi and the rest of her family through my sister, through her sister, through church. We call her Big Sister Temi, we are not related but I do consider myself the youngest sibling. Often when I meet new people I’m reserved at first and don’t talk much, but in no time at all I had warmed up to them. We have a bit of an age gap between us but it’s not something to notice as she is easy to get along with and quite cool and hip. It’s not difficult to feel comfortable around Temi, she just has a certain energy about her that is enjoyable to be around. So much so, I “interned” for her over a couple summers (back in the teacher days). Which entailed me helping with her classroom decoration and setup and her paying me by way of Netflix and Chick-fil-a. Except I didn’t need payment. Not just because I enjoyed doing crafts like that but because spending time with Temi didn’t feel like a job. In actuality I was having fun hanging out and that was payment enough. In hindsight I should probably pay her for keeping me entertained over the long summer. We have a multitude of memories over the years I could share but I believe after a time it would be evident they all share a similar feeling. A lot of fun, a lot of joy, a whole bunch of laughter, and overall love of each other’s company. For Temi to choose Dolapo, I have no doubt he is just as upstanding of a person as she is.
