In the summer of 2009, Anthony was entering his senior year at Swartz Creek High School and Olivia was about to begin her freshman year. They didn’t run in the same circles but they shared a love for competing on the cross country team. Olivia remembers meeting Tony during practice and immediately being smitten. Tony remembers that she wore a knee brace.

Six years later, Olivia’s crush had a second chance. The two ran into each other at a local road race and then reconnected the modern way (swiping right). Neither can remember the exact date of the start of their relationship, but their first date was to Sagano's Japanese Bistro for sushi—not far from where they live now. Nervously, Tony pulled up to the wrong house to pick Olivia up. Olivia had poison ivy all over her arms and was “itching” to get to know Tony. The date was perfect.

Tony and Olivia flew across the country to Portland, Oregon. It was a beautiful sunny day for a hike to the top of Multnomah Falls. After a zig-zagging mile-long trek up the side of a waterfall, Tony asked Olivia if she wanted to take pictures. Olivia was confused when Tony instead dropped to one knee and proposed. Needless to say, she said yes and Tony successfully didn’t break the ring in his pocket. The pair can’t wait to celebrate with you at their wedding and reception in October!
