In the midst of their CNA class in the fall of 2017, Taylor had been eyeing Sam and decided to give him her number on their last day of class. However, unaware of her plan, Sam rushed out of the room to head home. Luckily his friend, Jake (one of his groomsmen!), picked up on Taylor’s plan and decided to help her out. For the next 5 minutes, Jake stalled by asking their teacher redundant, unnecessary questions. This gave Taylor enough time to catch up to Sam, shove a piece of paper with her number on it into his hand, and then quickly dart away before Sam could say another word! However, that very evening, Sam texted Taylor and a week later their first date unfolded seamlessly. Engrossed in conversation, time slipped away as they stayed up talking until 3am even though Sam had to be up for work not even two hours later. That pivotal October moment marked the beginning of their journey together. By November 10th, 2017, they officially became a couple, and their relationship flourished from there. Fast forward to September 2, 2022, when Sam took their relationship to the next level, and proposed to Taylor in Costa Rica.
