Taylor & Ryan’s Story

FIRST TIME THEY MET The saying is “three strikes, and you’re out,” but that wasn’t the case for Taylor and Ryan. After three cancellations on Ryan’s end, they were finally able to meet. Their first date was at a restaurant in DC, called Mission. They bonded over their families, friends, sports, and their hometown (moco). They went out a few more times before everything changed. The pandemic may have shut down the world, but for Taylor and Ryan, it was just the beginning of their love story. THEY FELL IN LOVE Over the next two and a half years, Ryan and Taylor continued to get to know each other and fell more and more in love. They had date nights in DC, family dinners in Olney, happy hours at the Pub, and weekends in Ocean City. It was the start of a beautiful relationship that would continue through the good times and the bad. Through the ups and the downs, Taylor and Ryan realized they were each other’s person and did not want to go through life without each other. Their love for each other is what brought us here today. HE ASKED... SHE SAID YES On St. Patrick's Day (Ryan’s favorite holiday), Taylor and her friend Erica were supposed to go out to celebrate, but Ryan had other plans. Ryan had called off of work, turned off his location, and parked his car down the street, so when Taylor opened the door she noticed something was different. Their dogs Hank and Cooper ran to the door to greet Taylor. At first, Taylor got annoyed with Ryan because the dogs were supposed to be left in the kitchen. But, she quickly noticed the signs around their neck saying “will you be my fur-ever mom?” Then, she fully opened the door and there was Ryan, down on one knee. Ryan reached over to Hank to grab the ring box and asked “Taylor, will you marry me?” Still in shock, it took a second for Taylor to register what was happening before she finally said yes! Later that day, Taylor and Ryan joined close family and friends at the Corner Pub to celebrate. The Pub was a place that Patti, Ryan’s mom, loved to go to, so it was only right that they went to celebrate there.
