How They Met

March 22, 2017

Taylor and Lorenzo met at Houston Rodeo on a “double date” with Lorenzo’s twin, Logan, and his girlfriend that went to high school with Taylor. Taylor resisted meeting Lorenzo for nearly 5 months before finally giving in. They were forced to sit next to each other and converse through the evening. After talking about Taylor’s plans to attend Texas A&M University in the fall, Lorenzo’s Environmental Health & Safety education, and both of their goals for the future, both of them were curious to see where this would go.

The Relationship Begins

April 8, 2017

April 8th has been a very special day for the couple, the day their relationship took off. Now, more than 4 years later, the date is changing! This comes with a brand new meaning of love and symbolizes the start of their lives together as husband and wife.

Popped The Question

December 12, 2020

In October 2020, Lorenzo bought a new toy, a Polaris Sportsman 850 four-wheeler. Little did they know, this would add an extra level of excitement to their relationship. Saturday after Saturday, Taylor and Lorenzo took the four-wheeler out to ride for a few hours. They took it to Hidden Falls Thanksgiving weekend and camped in a tent in the cold rainy weather, but they absolutely loved it! Lorenzo knew Taylor would get suspicious of unusual events. He decided to propose on a Saturday, just like any other Saturday. They woke up, had breakfast tacos, loaded up the four-wheeler and headed to Twisted River Ranch. It was a cold, cloudy, and wet day. When they arrived, they did everything they normally would. Lorenzo unloaded the four-wheeler, Taylor made sure everything was where it needed to be, and off they went. They rode around the park, got muddy, laughed a lot, and almost went through a deep hole full of water. While riding alongside the river, Lorenzo suggested we stop, take pictures, and drink some water. He asked if she wanted to take a picture of the two of them there with the river behind them. She said of course! This was nothing unusual, they had ridden alone many times, setting up a phone on the four-wheeler and using the self-timer on the camera. Lorenzo set it up this time and hit the capture button. Counting in his head, to make sure it got the shot, Lorenzo ran around and got down on one knee to ask the question Taylor waited her whole life to hear. The camera captured the perfect moment as she said yes!
