It all started in 2011 at Siena College. Jonathan lived one floor below Taylor in Plassman Hall. They both would randomly "take the long way" in the dorm and pass each other’s rooms in hopes of seeing one another. Taylor would often see Jonathan in the hallway giving haircuts, hanging with his hallmates, and listening to music. After becoming good friends freshman year, they stayed in touch all summer and became much closer by the start of sophomore year. They started going to EDM raves together, sporting events, and the random passing in the hallway became invites to pre-game parties together. Taylor's friends become Jonathan's friends and Jonathan's friends became Taylor's. And in March of 2013 they were finally dating. They both traveled abroad in the Spring of 2014-Jonathan in Spain and Taylor in Italy. They made amazing memories traveling throughout Europe at that time (Rome, Amsterdam, Barcelona, to name a few meeting spots). The long distance while abroad was difficult but made their love and relationship grow stronger. They graduated in May of 2015 and had to get used to being an hour away from each other and not just a quick walk across campus. After several years of more amazing trips and memories together, they got engaged. Jonathan couldn't let COVID make him wait anymore and he booked a trip upstate where he surprised her by transforming the home they rented into the most romantic proposal (December of 2020). He was able to pull this off while she was getting ready to go out in the other room. The living room was set up with beautiful roses, lights, candles and photos of them through the years when he proposed. This is the start of a long life together!
