FAQs

The Wedding Website of Taylor Shelton and Colby Hamilton
If you have any additional questions, please ask around and think critically before reaching out to the bride and groom. While we love you all, weddings are stressful and Colby will make fun of you if you ask stupid questions.
Question

What does “Dressy Casual” mean?

Answer

Attire suggestions can be so ambiguous. For us, dressy casual simply means wear what makes you feel your best while also being aware that our ceremony and reception will take place entirely outside. Wear shoes that you’re comfortable dancing in and that can be easily worn on uneven ground. We also recommend you bring a sweater in case the weather gets chilly throughout the night.

Question

What date are RSVP's due?

Answer

Please have all RSVP's submitted by October 12th. If you do not RSVP on time, we will regretfully not be able to save you a seat at the wedding.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Yes of course! We couldn’t imagine hosting a kid free wedding and we are happy to have even our tiniest loved ones join us. If, as a parent, you just really want a night off kid free that’s cool with us too! Whatever works for you and your family. Please be aware that this is ultimately an event hosted for and by adults. Live music will be provided following the ceremony and we do not intend to alter or limit potentially explicit lyrics. Alcohol will also be available. If this makes you uncomfortable, you can choose to leave the littles at home.

Question

What’s the bar situation?

Answer

While we aren’t big drinkers, we know alcohol is a huge part of weddings. A limited amount of beer will be provided as well as non-alcoholic drinks such as sodas and tea. If you’re looking to party a little harder than that, please feel free to bring your own beer or liquor to drink throughout the night!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

In an effort to keep our wedding intimate we have limited spots for additional guests. If your invitation includes a date, their name will be listed alongside yours on the invitation and RSVP. If this was not included, we ask that you come alone.
