Carly & Danielle met their freshman year at Valpo in the freshman dorms! They both ended up as nursing majors and then lived as roommates from sophomore to senior year of college! Wherever Carly was at Valpo Danielle wasn't far behind... whether it was parties, chipotle runs, studying (sometimes lol), or just hanging out. Carly's favorite thing about Danielle: "Danielle is the friend version of a soulmate, we just get each other. It's funny because we are so different in a lot of ways yet we click perfectly. We have such a fun loving relationship and she never takes life too seriously. Some of my favorite memories from college are with her."

Most commonly known as "Tlaw" has been in Carly's life since her freshman year at Valpo! Both played for Valpo softball and developed a strong bond after Carly's freshman year! Through college, these two were ride or dies and the coolest part is their bond has only grown since they have graduated and moved away from each other. Carly's favorite thing about Tlaw: "She is my voice of reason, I know that I can call her & she will pick up the phone and give the best advice. She has always been a genuine and loyal friend and stays true to herself and her values. She is my favorite shopping buddy and we love ANY excuse to pamper ourselves and spend money, lol."
Emma Mikos (Shores)

This friendship has truly stood the test of time. Emma & Carly met all the way back in 2006 when they both got put on a softball team together. Emma was there through EVERY life change and season in Carly's life and basically lived at her house most of the time, lol. Even to the point when Carly's parents would bring her lunch they would order Emma's order without even asking if she needed it. Carly's favorite thing about Emma: "Since I never grew up with a sister Emma is the closest thing to that I have ever had in my life. We annoy each other and argue like sisters (lol) but at the end of the day there is no one else that has been by my side and seen me change through life like this girl. She is unapologetically herself and can always bring the best out in me."
Evan Smith
Best Man
Taylor & Carly met Evan during Taylor's sophomore year at Valpo. They got extremely close Taylor and Evan's senior year when her and Carly lived in downtown Valpo. Evan would come over weekly for dinner, to hang with Captain, and go out with the girls. Evan has also been deemed the infamous "Father" of Captain and Malibu :). Since moving to AZ, Evan has been out multiple weekends to visit for some old fashioned fun. T&C's favorite things about Evan: "He is truly one of a kind and has always been there for us in any time of need. I know we could pick up the phone and he would be on a flight to AZ in a matter of hours. He is one of the funniest, yet compassionate and loyal friends there are and we couldn't think of someone more honorable to not only be our best man but officiate our wedding."
Nathan Chasey
Best Man
Known by most as "Chasey", has been in the girls lives since Taylor's junior year of college when he transferred from a community college to play baseball at Valpo. Taylor and Chasey have had many unforgettable nights within that first year in the dorms. Much like Evan, during their senior year Chasey was a main fixture in Taylor and Carly's lives and at their apartment frequently. Chasey is also the "Father" of Captain and Malibu and was the first person that stayed with Captain as a puppy when the girls went away for a weekend. T&C's favorite things about Chasey: "Chasey has such a good soul and the biggest heart for us. He, like Evan would be in AZ at the drop of a dime if we called him. We love how emotional he is and we have had some of the best heart to hearts and life talks with him. If you see Chasey on our wedding day expect him to be crying harder than both of us, lol :)"
Jaina Westphal
Maid of Honor
Jaina and Taylor met freshmen year of college and Sophomore year they became roommates. Jaina and Taylor despite being vastly different, complemented each other very well. Jaina has been there for Taylor through some of the hardest times in her life, always there to pick up the pieces without hesitation. Taylor's favorite thing about Jaina: "She is someone who cannot be duplicated. Jaina has taught me to find sunshine in the pouring rain. Jaina is the type of friend to drive you to Chicago at 1AM, no questions asked. We have seen it all and been through it all together; breakups, bad games, drama, and fights. But also the L shaped dorm set up where our heads touched, allowing me to keep the tv on a night playing 'Young and Hungry', and our legendary Tuesday Texts. No matter the distance she will forever be someone I can count on and love with my whole heart."
Peyton Moeder

Taylor and Peyton's friendship began on their official visit to Valpo in 2018. Instantly clicking, they eagerly texted about the exciting adventures college would bring. Little did they know, their bond would grow into an unbreakable friendship, supporting each other through the highs and lows of their college journey. Taylor's favorite things about Peyton: "She is the type of friend that you can weeks or months without talking and pick up right where you left off. Some of my favorite memories are with Peyton in the back seat of a Van on the way to softball screaming words to a song before a game. I will never forget freshmen year Peyton picked me up at 5:30am for our gasser test and we jammed out to 'I don't get tired' by Kevin Gates. She keeps the mood light, makes you laugh when you need it most, but can be there is you need to cry. I am so blessed to have her in my life."
Karley Wiedenhofer

Karley (some may know her as Karley with a K). These two met in January of 2023 at orientation for Cooper's Hawk. They immediately hit it off as they were trying to stay afloat at their new serving job. It wasn't until a really bad night at work when Taylor looked at Karley and said 'If we don't grab a drink together, I might off myself.' Karley responded with, 'Nope can't have that.' and the rest is history. Taylor's favorite thing about Karley: "She is truly my soul best friend. It did not take long to realize how influential this girl would be in my life. We clicked on almost everything, there is never any silence in the room when we are together. In the short time we have been friends, so many big things have happened for the both of us. We bought a house, they bought their van and built it into a home on wheels, we found their soul dog (which happens to me our sweet baby Captains brother), and they lived with us for a month while they waited for their van. She is someone that listens to me repeat myself about the same five feelings and never makes me feel stupid for it. Making friends after college has not been easy, but it was as if at just the right time Karley was dropped int my life and it all made perfect sense. Karley has brought so much light to not only my life but Carly's too. We are forever in debt to the unconditional love and support she gives us.

This friendship has truly been through every single life change you can think of. Taylor and Lauren have been friends since they were 5 years old. Their friendship truly became unbreakable freshmen year of high school. Through some of the best and worst times of each other lives they have stood strong. Taylors favorite thing about Lauren: "She isn't my best friend, she is my sister. We don't talk every day, but whenever I am home she is the first person I text. When I moved away for college, I believe that's when our friendship really stood the test of time. She is someone I can count on, someone to invite over and then not say a single word until she gets up to finally go home at 12am. She is the friend that you leave the door unlocked and tell her to let herself in. 19 years of friendship- it says a lot about her and us. I wouldn't trade it for the world."

Kate and Taylor met her sophomore year of college when she transferred from her JUCO to Valpo. Kate moved into the dorm with Taylor and Jaina and it was as if she was the missing piece of their friendship. Often times the girls forget that she wasn't there their freshmen year because she fit in so perfectly. Taylor's favorite thing about Kate: "She is one of the most loyal, hard working, and devoted people I have ever met. She has truly been there for me in some rough times. She has slept on my dorm room floor after a long night, looked out for my best interest in certain situation and ultimately lead me to my Faith I now have today. We have laughed til we cried, balled on the bedroom floor over heartbreaks and drama, but without a doubt we always had each others back no matter what. Kate is my voice of reason. We don't talk everyday but she is someone that is always there. My life is so much better with her in it and I am so grateful Valpo brought us together.
Easton Seib
"Wine Girl"
Easton better known as "Raston". Taylor and Easton met her Sophomore year of college when Easton came in as a freshmen. Taylor and Easton were immediately connected as they were a pitcher and catcher. They spent countless hours on the field, but there is so much more that makes up their friendship. Easton and Carly became close Taylor's senior year when they lived in Downtown Valpo. Carly has always been the person that comes to Easton defense in any situation. T&C's favorite thing about Easton: "She is truly one of a kind. She is the life of the party and she knows it :). She is the biggest advocate for our relationship and #1 hype girl. Easton is someone you can talk to for hours, whether that be venting or a heart to heart. She keeps it real 100% of the time. Everyone should have an Easton in their life. If you are ever wondering who Easton is on our wedding day, you may find her next to Chasey balling her eyes out."
Danny Porter
"Beer Boy"
The girls met Danny at the beginning of 2023 when Taylor and Karley started working together at Cooper's Hawk. Karley & Danny have been together for 10 years and counting!!! The first time they met him was at dinner where they ended up telling him the story of how they met and by the end of the story Danny was so invested he had tears in his eyes. T&C's favorite things about Danny: "Danny is truly our "emotional king" as we call him, this man is just different and Karley is one lucky girl to have him in her life :). What we love about Danny is the way he is able to connect with us and have an almost completely separate relationship with the both of us. We truly appreciate the individuality that he shows us and just his perspective on life is one of the things we love most about him."
