We initially met when we were both working for Food Lion when we were 17 and 18. We were friends for years, navigating through other relationships. It was 2014 when we finally realized we were what each other was looking for in a partner!

Our first date was on a Thursday night, we both worked hectic schedules, but made time! We went to a Japanese restaurant in Jacksonville- it was both of our favorites. We had been talking for a few weeks and Taylor asked me if this meant we were "official". I told him not until he asked. And that's when he asked me to be his girlfriend :)

I had been waiting awhile for this day to come! I had no idea it was happening even though looking back there were a few hints that I entirely missed. It was Taylor's cousins birthday, and I also had gotten my hair done that day so I was feeling pretty! I mentioned us going out and doing something for his cousin's birthday. Daniel was being a homebody, but that triggered Taylor to pull something together. He asked if I wanted to go out to dinner, a Valentines Day celebration early. Valentine's Day had always been a big holiday for us being it was our first holiday we spent together. His mother, stepfather and little sister met us at Longhorn Steakhouse in Morehead City for dinner. We went through dinner like normal. As we were getting ready to leave, Taylor and Barry(keeper of the ring) went to the bathroom. When they came back out, I stood up to go to the bathroom before we left. To my surprise Taylor stopped me, knelt on one knee in front of me and asked me to marry him!! I was in total shock- happy tears and of course said YES!
