“We’re getting married”

One brisk night, a few years ago, T went to a concert with her friends and while they were walking around the venue she caught sight of a group of guys. One in particular caught her attention. She says he had so much swag with a scruffy beard and she was immediately attracted to him. As she walked toward their group, she noticed how he interacted with his friends, laughing and lightheartedly joking with everyone. T casually started a conversation with the group, using her well known warmth and charm. She asked B what he did for a living and he shared that he was in dental school at UCLA. T immediately whispered to her friend “I think I hear wedding bells”. Everyone laughed and they exchanged numbers but only kept in loose contact over the next 2 years due to the pandemic. B eventually invited T out for a date and they both felt the same magic they had felt the first night they met. They danced all night with their synced headphones. T told him that she had a feeling he was the one for her. B stared at her in shock and said it would be the honor of his life if she were to be his wife. From that day on, they have been together, encouraging and supporting each other through both the best and hardest moments of their lives.

“B knows that at her heart level, T loves to be surrounded by her friends and the people that know every part of her soul. B texted all of T's closest friends and asked them to meet at a "secret" location so that they could be part of a special surprise for T. B got two of T's best friends to get T ready for a "girls night out" at a fancy venue and to not hold back on getting fully dressed up. T found the perfect rose gold pleated dress and red bottom stilettos for the occasion and went about getting ready. T was starting to get the feeling something special would happen that night. Two of her closest friends drove her to the location B had specified and placed a blindfold on T before getting her out of the vehicle and escorting her into the most beautifully decorated mansion. When they walked through the house to the backyard, the blindfold was removed and T’s senses were flooded with an extravagant display of fabrics, candles and flowers glowing in the twilight, creating a pathway to the love of her life. Bruno Mars' "Marry You" floated through the spring night air just as T's blindfold came off and she was left in absolute awe at how everything was exactly, if not better, than how she dreamed it might be. Long ago T had told B "Marry You" was her cheesy, yet favorite song to be proposed to one day and B had made it happen! B was waiting for T at the end of the pathway and once their fingers intertwined he kneeled down on one knee to ask her to spend the rest of her life with him. Her heart filled with happiness and tears filling her eyes, she said yes!! Two of the best men popped champagne bottles in celebration, showering the newly engaged couple with happiness and sparkling bubbles as B lifted T into the air and spun her around like the princess she is. The couple shared their first dance as an engaged couple while everyone surrounded them in a circle of love and celebrated this magical night."
