The Beginning of Our Forever

James and Tannia's paths crossed at a friend's birthday party. James was sitting at the table with his friend Jamal when a stunning woman walked in. "Who is that?" he asked Jamal. “Tannia,” Jamal replied. James’ curiosity was sparked, but he continued to enjoy his time at the party. Later that night, the two were among a group of people talking about relationships. Tannia was very intrigued by James’s conversation. She thought he was cute too! Despite their mutual interest, they never spoke to each other that day. A week later, Jamal called James and invited him to a movie. James was hesitant at first, but he eventually agreed to go with a group of friends. The rest of the group, trying to play matchmaker, made sure that James and Tannia sat next to each other. As they waited for the movie to start, Tannia shared her fear about the recent shooting at a movie theater showing "The Dark Knight." James responded by saying, “Don’t worry, I’ll protect you.” This put Tannia’s mind more at ease and warmed her heart. After the movie, the group of friends went to Geo's house, where they celebrated the birthday party a week earlier. Everyone played card games together, but it was James and Tannia's one-on-one card session that brought them closer. Tannia and James had a blast laughing and enjoying each other's company. Tannia even played footsies with James. As the night came to an end, James kindly offered to walk Tannia to her car, but she politely declined and left. James's friend asked him why he didn't get Tannia's number, to which he replied, "Eh, she is too churchy for me." Despite his initial hesitation, James couldn't stop thinking about Tannia. He reached out to Jamal and asked if it would be weird to find Tannia on Facebook. Jamal had already sent her a friend request, so James decided to do the same. He messaged her, saying, "Hey, I knew you weren't done with me 😃." Tannia replied, "lol...well, well, well, if it isn't Dr. James...and who says I'm not?!!! You can be friends with ANYBODY on FB 😛." The rest is history. The two have been inseparable ever since. James proposed after a romantic evening with dinner and a personalized song written specifically for Tannia. Of course, Tannia said “Yes!”
