There's a local swim spot on the Mad River across the street from the Featherbed Inn in Waitsfield. Please carpool, as parking is limited. If you live locally and want to bring a beach chair, please do. Otherwise, bring a towel, your swim suit, and an open mind. We're kind of freestyling this one, people. We'll have some snacks.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 4pm. We welcome you to arrive anytime after 3pm to mingle, schmooze, and get a good seat.
The Skinner Barn is a charming barn on a gorgeous piece of land. We'll be getting married in the back meadow, which is an open field. Wear shoes that can get you over some uneven terrain, or go barefoot. (For guests who need a little more support, our host has a golf cart for transportation to the back field.) There won't be any shade cover during the ceremony, and while the 4pm sun shouldn't be too brutal, we advise bringing whatever sun protection you might need.
Black tie.
Whatever best suits your soul. Something befitting a mid-summer celebration of divine love. You know...do you, and look good.
At the deepest level, never. At the level of venue contracts and noise-sensitive neighbors: we have the barn until 10pm, so it'll be an early night. We hope to see you at brunch the next morning!
If your kids' names are on your RSVP form (on Zola), we have a place reserved for them. If not, and you're hoping to bring your kids, please be in touch with us.
