Dress code is Formal We also know it's going to be a bit chilly so we also recommend getting some thermal under garments for the day or if you are wearing a dress we recommend getting a nice and warm fur or wool coat/jacket We are not too concerned with what pieces of clothing you wear to keep warm for the outdoor ceremony but we will also be providing blankets If you can avoid wearing Navy for the Gents and Navy for the Ladies that would be great as our Bridal party will be all navy
We 100% recommend getting a hire care for the duration of your stay as there is not a huge amount of ubers nor taxis. The hire cars can be as cheap as $30 per day and for the flexibility and fun of being able to go anywhere anytime it's very much worth it
There are 2 ways to get there. 1 route may be affected by road closures - Crown Range Rd (Takes about 1hr and 10 minutes from Queenstown center) The other way takes up to 30 minutes longer in travel time but is generally the dryer route - State Hwy 6
for short stays we would recommend staying in Wanaka, We will be there from Wednesday 21st to the Day after the Wedding then we are relocating to Queenstown for the rest of the following 2 weeks.
Wanaka is a small town but does have taxi and Uber services, The Bar will surely get used but having a designated driver may also be a good idea to organise. Just use our guest list to find some familiar faces who you know may go a bit lighter on the alcohol
