FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, we are asking for Destination/Cocktail attire. Suits, Sports coats, evening gowns, maxi dresses, pants suits (No jeans please) We want you to come in what makes you feel the most comfortable, confident and beautiful or handsome. The weather in Joshua tree around October 1st is historically in the mid 70s to high 80s. We are hoping this is exactly what the range of weather will be on the day we say I do, and celebrate with you!

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

The venue allows for 50 cars. Guests will be directed by venue attendants on where to park. Please carpool if possible.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

3:30pm - 3:45pm

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately the venue only allows for 100 people. We wish we could include everyone, but the wedding will be for invited guests only.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Is our last name Hernandez?! Of course! Open bar, but no shots are allowed per the venue. Mix drinks, wine and beer only. We ask that all of our friends drink responsibly, and help keep the venue clean by cleaning as you go. Uber and Lyfts are available but from what we hear rare. Taxis are available.

Question

What’s for dinner?

Answer

We are doing a taco bar, which will include a vegetable vegetarian/vegan option as well. If you have a special allergy please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, just let us know and we will make accommodations.

Question

What time will the wedding end?

Answer

Since we will be in the beautiful wide open desert, sound travels far and wide. (Good for us, bad for neighbors!). The music will be shut off at 10pm due to city ordinance. The wedding ends at 10:30, so we can wind down after the music stops and give love, hugs and thanks to all that made our night special. Don’t worry party animals! We are planning for plenty of time to boogey down with all of you before the night’s end!

Question

Where is the best place to stay?

Answer

There are hotel options in Joshua tree and the surrounding areas (Twenty Nine Palms, Yucca Valley, Pioneer-town, and Palm Springs) as well as Airbnb’s and for the adventurous, RV hook up areas. We hope you find somewhere that makes your trip comfy, cozy and memorable! See our travel page for recommendations.
