After that nudge, we exchanged a few texts, then that same day we spoke on the phone, talked for 4.5hrs...and met the next day for lunch at Gjelina. Almost 12hrs of talking and connecting in the first 24hrs. And the rest just unfolded in the most natural beautiful way. I knew so soon it was him. We had both been dreaming up one another, really for years. There is such a deeper story here where we both knew the other was coming but the journey to find one another was long. Beautiful and powerful but long. Which makes our gratitude and appreciation so high, so authentic, so real. It was over the holidays of 2023 that it really landed for me. We brought in the new year together and soon after that I really let myself believe it was him, he was here. Christopher was slower to come around. He didn't trust it could be this good, this wonderful, this magical. I don't know if he thought we could real. But we are. And we grew stronger and stronger and I knew this man was my forever. He was different than any other man. He felt like home. We felt like home. And we knew together we would build our home and future together. That we would merge our families. That our girls would become sisters. That it was all meant to be. I mean their names even rhythm: Sadie Mae & Scarlet Shay. We are so grateful and the love and support we have received is healing both of our hearts!
