We met in Spring 2017 during an ECU party at Mo's townhouse in Copper Beech. After exchanging numbers at the party we hung out a few times and were friends before realizing we both liked each other, so it wasn't until a year after we met that we started dating. After five years, two dogs, an apartment, a relocation to Greensboro and a house - WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

We moved to Greensboro and bought our first home together in December 2022 and we hosted a housewarming in March to celebrate with our family and friends. Everyone knew this was going to be a special housewarming, except for Taliyah. After we ate a delicious meal together, Mo went to the living room and began a speech with a single rose in hand. He handed the rose to Taliyah, got on one knee and told her to look inside of it. The rose had a ring box inside and once she opened it she saw a beautiful ring that her Uncle made and delivered from Georgia, looking back at her! Unable to control the excitement, Taliyah screamed "yes!" before Mo could even ask her the question.
