Question

When should I arrive in Italy?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive in Italy the weekend before our wedding and spend some time in Florence. This way you can spend time in a historic city and adjust to the time zone before heading to our venue on Monday, October 13th.

Question

Is there now a Visa requirement to enter the EU?

Answer

You may have heard that Europe is now requiring a visa upon entry. Under the proposed rules, US passport holders traveling to Europe in 2025 will need to apply for a European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) before their trip. ETIAS was originally set to launch in 2020 but has been delayed numerous times due to operational dependencies that the European Entry/Exit system is working on completing. If the program is successfully launched this time, you can fill out the ETIAS application on the website. To apply for ETIAS, travelers will need to submit an online application and pay a small fee (€7). ETIAS says most applications are processed within minutes, but it could take up to 14 days if you need to provide more information, or up to 30 days if you're invited to an interview. If approved, it's valid for three years or until your passport expires

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

There are a few options for getting to Tenuta Corbinaia. If you’re coming from Florence, you can take the train to Empoli (30 minutes), followed by a 10 minute taxi ride to the venue. If you’re staying at a nearby hotel, you can also use a taxi or transfer service. Of course, renting a car to get around is also an option. We encourage you to do your own research, but here are a few transfer and taxi options we recommend reaching out to: - Enjoy Tour Tuscany. Email booking@enjoytourtuscany.com - Welcome Pickups - drivers typically speak English, you can get a free quote directly on their website. - Barocchi. Email info@barocchi.com - Poggi Bus. Email info@poggibus.it - Piemme Service. Email info@piemmeservice.info Bacci Travel (website only in Italian). Email baccitravel@gmail.com

Question

2025, declared the Jubilee..

Answer

The 2025 Jubilee Year also known as the Holy Year, is a Catholic event that will take place in Italy and Vatican City. It's a year of celebration and spiritual renewal that usually happens every 25 years, and it's expected to attract large crowds to Rome. Please plan your travel accommodations as soon as possible to avoid any booking issues.

Question

What do I wear for each event?

Answer

Attire for the Welcome Dinner & Wedding For the Welcome Dinner, we invite guests to dress in Tuscan Garden Attire. Think sophisticated yet relaxed—Semi-formal looks will work best as we gather outdoors surrounded by the Tuscan landscape. For the Wedding, we request Black Tie attire. This will be an elegant and formal celebration, so please come dressed in your finest evening wear—tuxedos, and formal gowns. * Out of respect, we ask that you please avoid wearing shades of white to either Event. To help you curate your fits, we've created a Look Book for both the Welcome Dinner and the Wedding. You can view the look book by visiting this link: https://pin.it/44IkUQIYD

Question

Interested in more travel tips?

Answer

- We recommend renting a car to get around Italy and travel to our venue. You will need to obtain an International Driver's License (you can do this through AAA, whether you are a member or not). We encourage you to purchase the additional insurance for the car and rent a small vehicle as the roads in Italy are narrow and parking spaces can be tight. - We encourage you to download What'sApp, especially if you do not have an international cell phone plan to give you better communication access throughout your journey. - Passports must be valid within 6 months AFTER your travel date to Italy. -Although most credit cards are widely accepted in Italy, we recommend taking out Euros to make small purchases.
