In 2005 Jonathan and Amanda met in their high school history class, but they didn’t really get to know each other until a few years later while they were both working at a local grocery store. In 2011 Amanda invites Jonathan and another friend to come with her to her college homecoming dance. Jonathan and Amanda began hanging out and one night he asked her to be his girlfriend, to which she said “yes”! In 2014 Amanda and Jonathan built a yurt in his parents backyard, were they pretended to live for a couple of months. When the yurt collapsed it was time to go house hunting. Instead of buying a house, the two decided to buy a 5th wheel trailer and live at Tucquan Campground for the next 3 years. In 2017 Amanda and Jonathan decided to add to their life together by bringing home a Shiba Inu puppy that they named Maeve. Life in the trailer became pretty cramped, so they decided to look for a new home. In 2018 they bought their first house! A few months later, while hiking with our close friends, Jon got down on one knee and asked Amanda to marry him. And of course she said “Yes!”
