Tabitha and Keenan met and became friends during their time from 3rd through 5th grade. They journeyed off to different schools until high school when the met again through their social circle. From there to the next time they would see each other would feel like forever. Tabitha was the receptionist at the Health Care Authority when Keenan came in for his interview for a job. She called his name when she recognized it and across the room a scruffy red head stood up. They recognized each other. After catching up they went to see a movie together as friends. Keenan started work the next week and they went and got lunch together at Casa Mia down the street from their building, though it was not a very good meal the conversations were. They were also almost late back to work but they made it back just in time laughing as they walked through the door. They continued to go to movies together but when Tabitha's mom asked if they were dating she would say "No, Keenan is just my movie guy." Then one Sunny May Sunday, Keenan asked if Tabitha wanted to go on a hike through Water Shed Park. During their walk they talked for hours. At one point they found a bench to listen to the sounds of the park around them and then talked some more. That night Keenan officially asked Tabitha on a date-date. Though this is a point of contention on whether or not the hike was the first real date. Keenan decided that his birthday would be a perfect day for a first date, just two days after the hike. They went downtown to walk around Capitol Lake after eating at Mekong which later became their favorite restaurant together. As their relationship grew and blossomed they quickly found that this was something special. Through many trials they grew and supported each other and found ways to take some breaks for themselves. They have now bought a house together and are both eager to start their lives together.

Tabitha knew something was amiss when Keenan said that he was going to drive her to work in the morning, but she went along with it. Keenan helped her pick out a nice outfit and got her to work on time. Keenan had gotten the day off and when he arrived home he got right to work. He had enlisted the help of many of their friends (Special thank you to Rachel Downs) to get the house ready for the evening. Strings of pictures were strung through the halls, roses were scattered here and there, and lights were hung up on the back porch. Once the decorations were in place and the house was clean it was time. Keenan picked up their favorite meal, Mekong (the restaurant they had their first date at). Right after he headed to Tabitha's work to pick her up. He was all dressed up and seemed nervous but also excited on the drive home. He had her wait in the car for a second to make sure everything was in place. He then came out and led her through their home. Pictures of their relationship from camping trips to pictures of some their accomplishments were hung on string running through the home. Each had a little note on the back. Once all the notes were read and she made her way to the back following all the candles and roses. Once she arrived she saw the yard lit with tea lights and there was Keenan. Keenan dropped to one knee and Tabitha said "Yes."
