Why do we need to reserve our rooms at Caberfae so early?

Answer

Caberfae only has 39 rooms total. Northern Michigan is a popular wedding spot in the fall. Most fall weekends will have Friday, Saturday and Sunday weddings at Caberfae. We are responsible to pay for any rooms we blocked. To avoid us having to pay needlessly for rooms, we are blocking them up until one year prior. After that, we are releasing the rooms back to the hotel to try and book, in order minimize our financial risk.

Can I bring my kids?

This is mainly an adult wedding & reception (21+). We love all of your kids, but we are keeping the kid portion of the guest list a bit exclusive. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If your invitation is marked with '& Guest,' it means you're welcome to bring a companion. Please ensure your guest is 21 years of age or older. Thank you!

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony kicks off at 4pm sharp, so feel free to show up 15-30 minutes early to grab a seat and avoid any last-minute scramble.

What time is the reception scheduled to end?

We are required to be out of the reception hall at 11pm.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and/or reception take place indoors or out?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outside. Cocktail hour, dinner and reception will be indoors.

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Yes, there is a large parking area.

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

There will be a few hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour, followed by a sit down dinner with 2 entrees, 2 sides, and rolls.

What's the best way to let you know of any dietary restrictions & allergies?

There will be a spot on the RSVP card to note any of these things. We will make sure you get fed!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Drinks are on us, but the hangover is definitely on you! We want everyone to have a great time and stay safe, so we encourage you to either book a room at the lodge or have a designated driver ready to roll. And don't forget your ID-they may ask for it.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Dress as if you're about to take a family photo that will hang in a living room for the next 50 years.
