Sydney and Ryker met on the first day of 8th grade in 2009. Ryker was a new student to G-E-T, after moving to Trempealeau County from Utah. They had History and English class together and became close friends. Summer before Sophomore year of high school in 2011 at Holmen Kornfest, they started dating and the rest was history! Between then and now, the couple got a dog named Ivy, moved into a home in Galesville, built a house, traveled to various destinations, and now can't wait for the rest of their lives together.

A little vacation to Walt Disney World turned into the rest of our lives and a big surprise. In front of Cinderella's castle, Ryker popped the big question to Sydney asking "Will you marry me?". Heart racing, tears shedding, and grinning ear to ear, Sydney said yes in the happiest place on earth! It was extraordinary that Sydney's Mom and some of her Mom's friends, Ryker's Dad and Step-Mom were able to be there to witness the proposal and celebrate with the couple. This amazing proposal created a moment to remember forever and a vacation of a lifetime!
