We met in the Summer of 2019, while both living in Los Angeles. By chance of fate, we were introduced by a mutual acquaintance at a pre-game before a night out on the town. We hit it off that night and shortly after went on our first date, which consisted of John taking Sydney to his weekly salsa dancing class. We then spent the rest of the evening learning about each other at a dive Mexican joint on Pico - tasting their finest tequilas, and watching a Dodgers game on a small old TV behind the bar. Amongst all of this, we quickly connected and were taken with each other’s ability to make one another smile and laugh. We also learned we share the same passion for life and all the beauty it has to offer.

Four years later, our love has grown immensely, having moved away from California and starting a life together in New York City. This past Winter, while on vacation, John asked Sydney to be his wife on Christmas Day in Paris, France, in no other place than atop the Eiffel Tower. With the afternoon sun lingering over the city of love, painting the sky a mix of colors reminiscent of Monet, Sydney gave John the best Christmas present he has ever received, by saying yes to being his wife.
