We're Getting Married!

Sydney and Jarom didn't meet in the typical way. They met on Mutual, a dating app for LDS singles. Crazy right?! It took a while for them to feel comfortable swiping up on each other's profiles but once they connected they hit it off right away. Texting led to Jarom asking Sydney to call. Sydney was apprehensive due to being deaf but when Jarom heard Sydney's accent over the phone he asked if he could Facetime her. You can imagine Sydney's surprise when Jarom started signing to her. Jarom explained that he had served an ASL mission. The conversations only grew more and more rich as they spent time talking on the phone or signing to each other when others were around. Jarom asked Sydney to be his girlfriend on New Year's Eve 2024 and proposed April 6th at the Water Lantern Festival in Surprise.
