What are the details for the welcome drinks on Friday?
Answer
Welcome drinks starts at 8pm at the Hawthorne. The attire is cocktail. There will be light bites & a couple dessert options. For alcohol, there will be open bar for beer & wine, and non-alcoholic options. If you'd like a specific cocktail/drink, there is a full bar downstairs and they are happy to help!

What is the dress code for Saturday?

Black-tie optional / Formal - For men, a full tuxedo is not necessary but a suit with a coat is preferred :) For women, floor length dresses are preferred Please reach out to Dave/Sydney with any questions/concerns here!

Guests should arrive at 3:30pm

What time will the bus leave?
Answer
The bus will leave the Hawthorne promptly at 3pm (we suggest getting there a few minutes early). On the way back, there will be two trips. The first will be at roughly 8pm. The second will be at roughly 9:30 when the wedding wraps up. For those joining us, we will be walking from the Hawthorne to the after party at BitBar

Will there be other events to attend on the wedding weekend?

Yes - they're optional though! We will be having a welcome cocktail hour on March 29th from 8:00pm-11:00pm at the Hawthorne Hotel. We will be having an after party on March 30th after the reception from 10:00pm-1:00am at Bit Bar.

Yes! There will be a full open bar all evening

What time does the reception end? Will there be an afterparty?

The reception ends at 9pm and yes! The afterparty will be at BitBar in downtown Salem - Salem is where we recommend guests stay

Can I take (and post) pictures of the wedding?
Answer
Ideally, we're trying to limit phones in the background of pictures during our ceremony. You're more than welcome to take pictures after the ceremony (either during the cocktail hour or reception). Dave & Sydney will try to be as available as possible for photos!

Will there be transportation to & from the venue?
Answer
Yes, from Salem, MA! We have a school bus rented to help guests to & from Willowdale. There is plenty of parking if you would rather drive yourself or carpool.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
They will likely all be indoors! If, on the off chance, we get a really nice day in March then we might adjust some events to be outdoors

What is the easiest way to get to and from the venue?
Answer
Either driving or leveraging the shuttles we will provide. Ubers/Lyfts aren't very reliable in Topsfield. For those driving, there is plenty of parking

Will there be food at the Welcome Cocktail Hour?

There will be light bites but we recommend eating a full dinner beforehand. There will be desserts and drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic).

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us
