Lexi and Sydney have been best friends since babies—they quite literally have a picture of them being held by their moms when they were under a year old! Lexi and Sydney share so many memories, from volleyball tournaments, countless sleepovers, to speaking together at high school graduation. Sydney loves how hardworking and loyal Lexi is. Despite playing college volleyball, getting into optometry school, and working numerous jobs, Lexi has always made time for her and Sydney’s friendship!
John Montero
Best Man
John and Rob grew up as brothers, but more importantly, best friends. They have the most amazing times together; whether that was playing video games late into the night, laughing for hours at nothing, or competing at every sport known to man in the backyard. When John was asked to be the Best Man, he was ecstatic and said that he had been planning a Bachelor Party for Rob for years! Rob is honored to have John as his Best Man!
Crawford Wentink

Crawford and Sydney became friends shortly after she moved here from North Carolina at the beginning of 2020. Nathaniel, who is Rob’s boss at Chick-Fil-A and good friend, is married to Crawford. When the pandemic hit, the four of them spent countless nights playing games and getting to know each other. Sydney loves how welcoming and personable Crawford is—she’s always hosting parties and get-togethers for her friends and family. She always takes the time to make everyone she talks to feel special and appreciated!
Nathaniel Wentink

Nathaniel and Rob first met each other in 2018 at Chick-Fil-A, where they both work. They became close during their opening shifts at work, while squeezing lemons together at 5:45 AM. Rob looks up to Nathaniel because of his amazing work ethic, passion in everything he does, and his strong faith. From seeing a new movie every Sunday to playing tennis to introducing Rob to bourbon, they have countless memories together! Rob is excited to have Nathaniel alongside him at the wedding!
Kayla Baker

Kayla and Sydney became friends their freshman year of college at UND. They spent many late nights doing fun and spontaneous things at Walsh Hall! Despite Kayla moving back home to Bismarck midway through freshman year, Sydney and her stayed friends throughout the years until she returned to Grand Forks her junior year. Sydney loves how free-spirited and easygoing Kayla is! She is so easy to be around and can have fun with anyone she hangs out with!
Cody Pinnick

Cody and Rob first met each other in 2018. Since then, they have grown incredibly close! They have been co-workers, roommates, and classmates, but most importantly, best friends. They have had plenty of late nights opening up to each other about their lives (and eating grilled cheese), spent hours upon hours studying, and have way too many inside jokes together. Cody has a huge heart, and Rob gets to benefit from that every single day. Rob is grateful for Cody's consistency in his life, and is thankful to have him in the wedding!
Sadie Anderson

Sadie and Sydney became friends their sophomore year of college when they became roommates! They lived together for three years, which means tons of late-night ice cream runs, sushi dates, and chats about anything and everything. Sydney loves how goofy and energetic Sadie is! Sadie impacts everyone she meets with her fun-loving personality, compassion for others, and unwavering faith.
Josh Shafer

Josh and Rob have been friends since middle school. They have had incredible adventures together including years of Rob crashing Josh's family reunions (and numerous boat issues), deep talks in the hot tub (where Rob first told anyone about his feelings for Sydney), and he was even alongside the happy couple when they got engaged. Even though Josh and Rob have been separated by 300+ miles for the past 4 years, they are still as close as ever. Rob appreciates Josh's fun personality and his loyal friendship. Rob is grateful to have Josh standing by him at the wedding!
Gabbey Pfingsten

Gabbey and Sydney became friends their sophomore year of college after Gabbey changed her major to speech-pathology like Sydney. From the first time they sat together in class, Sydney knew they would be friends. Gabbey moved in with Sydney and Sadie and they all lived together their last two years of college. Sydney loves how sweet and thoughtful Gabbey is. Gabbey and Sydney are both going to graduate school at UND for the next two years, so surely countless more study dates, Perkins runs, and Disney movie marathons will be had!
Mitchell Docken

Mitchell and Rob met each other before Sydney and Rob started dating. While Mitchell and Rob can have different personalities, they never fail to have fun times with each other! The only time they argue is about who loves Sydney more (haha)! Even though Mitchell is stationed at Fort JBER in Alaska, they still find time to FaceTime with each other and play video games (Mitchell is MUCH better than Rob)! Rob is happy that Mitchell is going to be standing next to him at the wedding!
