After being pen pals for a little more than a month, it was decided that it was time to go on a date! This story is hilarious; whether your hear Casey's (what his family calls him) version, or Suzette's. A couple misunderstandings, a recoup and a meet up at a place we call "the Dirty Bar" (it was so filthy that it has since closed), led to a weekend adventure in which we were both convinced that we wanted to share our lives with each other. In both of our versions of the "meeting" story, it is clear that the moment we locked eyes, there was something special between us. Three years later, on our anniversary we went to several local haunted houses (what we did for our 2nd date), but alas, none were open and we ended up back at home with Casey's proposal plans dashed, but he was not to be dissuaded and proposed at home on October 14, 2019. After COVID made plans for the wedding we wanted impossible, and going back and forth on how to create the ambiance we both desired, we decided to get married in 2022 even if the entire world is on fire. our Even though the Castle in Greece or Croatia did not work out, we found a wonderful wedding and reception venue in Denver that will serve as a fantastic meeting place in the center of the country, since our families are on opposite coasts. Since the day we met, we have spent every moment possible together. Whether it was Suzette traveling to Colorado Springs during the week, Casey spending the weekends in Parker, taking impromptu trips to Vegas, Key West, Mexico and Hawaii, or even a trip to Georgia to complete a Spartan Race together. It has been a fantastic and educational journey for us both, and we are thrilled to be able to share this next step with our family and friends!
