We have our best friends, Kelly and Quinn, to thank for introducing us. After some coercing to go out after work, we met on a Friday at a bar in the East Village while Winston was visiting a friend in NYC, and by Sunday Suzanne was telling her roommate, Kim, that Winston was 'the one.' After doing distance between DC and NYC, racking up a few thousand Amtrak points, and many early mornings at Union Station, Winston made the move up to NYC, becoming the official third wheel to Suzanne and Kim. When COVID hit, we decided to get away to Winston's parents in Virginia Beach for a few weeks, which turned into a few months. Upon arrival back to NYC, we went to Suzanne's family's house in Breezy Point, mostly to hang out with our nephew Will. Suzanne's mom convinced us to take Will for a walk to get ice cream and watch the sunset over the bay, and unbeknownst to Suzanne, Winston had planned to propose while watching the sunset. After a perfect proposal (in which Will didn't make a peep), Winston and Suzanne went back to Jamaica Walk to celebrate with family and friends. We are so thankful that our friends somehow randomly brought us together, and cannot wait to share our special day with all of our family and friends.
