Busch Stadium
Some of you (Texans, others?) are planning to go to St. Louis on Sunday, the Cards will be playing the Atlanta Braves on Sunday and every day of the week---Busch Stadium Beer, Brats, and Nachos are about the BEST you’ll find anywhere, and the baseball ain’t too shabby either! Saint Louis Zoo
A day at the ( Award-winning, ranked #1 in the USA) St. Louis Zoo is a pretty wonderful way to spend some time, and it is, even with its’ very high ranking among USA Zoos, FREE—no admission charge!
City Museum
• Another great, fun St. Louis attraction is the City Museum—and it’s something like you will have never seen before---so much stuff to see and do there!
St. Louis Aquarium at Union Station
Union Station and its aquarium are also worth a visit!

For those of you with cars who are nature lovers, some of the most beautiful Springs and State Parks are just to the West of Poplar Bluff are available, and about a 100-150 mile excursion would loop you thru the amazing Big Springs, then on to Round Springs , Alley Springs, Blue Springs, and Mammoth Springs, just on the Arkansas state line near Thayer, MO---well worth the drive!

The River Ridge Winery in Commerce, MO will have live entertainment over the weekends, a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon, and the food and beverage selection is just plain fun to sample!
Chaumette Vineyards & Winery
About the same distance, but more North (about 80 miles-ish from P.B.) is the Chaumette Vineyards and Winery. The place looks like a movie set, it is stunning, beautiful, classy, and the food and beverages selections are award-winning!
Ste. Genevieve
Just to the Northeast of Chaumette is the town of Ste. Genevieve, the oldest European settlement in the state of Missouri, with French-Creole architecture houses dating back to the 1700’s. An amazing place to visit/tour, again sampling the food and beverages at such places as “the Brick” in the historic square downtown.
