Niki and Sunny's story began as acquaintances some time in middle school, over 10 years ago! It took a lot of years and different phases to have them go from saying "hi" at mandir to actually becoming friends and finally dating in August 2019. At first, Niki was unaware of Sunny's interest, but when it clicked... well, the rest is history!

Sunny joined Niki on a trip to Toronto to visit Niki's family for the first time. Little did she know that he had been working with her friends, parents, sister, and cousins to pull the ultimate surprise! Niki is usually the detail-oriented planner, but being with family made her oblivious to any signs of what was to come. After spending the day in Toronto, her cousins showed them a new spot by the water since they had "never seen it before." A stranger sitting on a bench offered to take some pictures for them, and Niki's sister, Tanvi, told them to take a couple's picture too. Of course, that stranger on a bench was actually a professional photographer that Sunny had hired! As Niki handed off her purse to her cousins, Sunny bent down on one knee. Niki turned back to him in total shock! With the skyline of Toronto and the beautiful water behind them, Sunny asked, "Will you marry me?" As we all know, she said yes! After a photoshoot and some very exciting phone calls, they all got in the car to head home. Niki's cousin suggested stopping for a celebratory drink, and everyone agreed. At the restaurant, Niki followed them to the back, a little confused why they skipped so much seating in the front, but she was still oblivious as ever. To her surprise, yet again, she turned the corner to see all of her family sitting at the table! A beautiful cake was waiting at home, and the family spent the night playing games by the fire. A perfect end to the perfect day.

Arlo is our dog (our baby). He found us in March of 2022, and he quickly made us a little family. With everything the future is going to bring, we're glad we get to share some of it with him!
