Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We ask that you please RSVP by August 19, 2023, via our wedding website.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony begins promptly at 1:00 pm, so we ask that you please arrive a few minutes early to find a seat.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! We have two hotel blocks and several other hotel recommendations under the "travel" tab of our wedding website.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

St. Patrick Church (where the wedding ceremony will be held) has a parking lot. However, you cannot leave your car in this lot once the ceremony ends. Saltwater Farm Vineyard (where the wedding reception will be held) also has a parking lot. However, we will be providing transportation to and from the vineyard--please see next FAQ for details!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the reception?

Answer

We will not be providing transportation to the wedding ceremony at St. Patrick Church. The church is in walking distance from most lodging in downtown Mystic. There is also a parking lot for those who want to drive to the ceremony. We will be providing transportation from the Whaler's Inn and the Holiday Inn to the reception at Saltwater Farm Vineyard. We will also provide transportation back to these two hotels and to the after party at the Engine Room for those who choose to join!

What should I do between the end of the ceremony and the start of the reception?

Answer

You will have an hour or so between the end of the ceremony and the beginning of the shuttle service to the reception. This is a great time to check into your hotel if you have not yet done so or to grab a drink or snack at one of the many lovely spots in downtown Mystic. A few of our favorites are: Shipwright's Daughter, Bravo Bravo, S&P Oyster, and Red 36. The shuttle service to the reception will begin around 3:00 pm. Please see the shuttle schedule FAQ for more information.

What is the schedule of the shuttle service?

Answer

3:15 pm - Shuttles pick up guests at Whaler's Inn. Pickup location: Cottrell Street (street adjacent to Whaler's Inn lobby, across from the store "Just Mystic Apparel"). 3:40 pm - Shuttles pick up guests at Holiday Inn. Pickup location: hotel parking lot. 4:00 pm - Shuttles arrive at Saltwater Farm Vineyard. 4:15 pm - Shuttles return to hotels to pick up any remaining guests. 4:30 pm - Shuttles arrive at Saltwater Farm Vineyard. 7:30 pm - Shuttles available to return guests to hotels. 10:05 pm - Final shuttles back to hotels and after party.

Question

If I am out of town, how do I get to Mystic?

Answer

For folks who will be coming in from out of town, you can fly into Logan International Airport (Boston, MA) (1.5 hour drive to Mystic), T.F. Green International Airport (Providence, RI) (40 minute drive to Mystic), or Bradley International Airport (Hartford, CT) (1 hour drive to Mystic). Please coordinate with friends for a ride, or look into car rentals or Uber/taxi rides. For more local folks, there will be parking available at both hotels (Whalers Inn and Holiday Inn). You can also take the Amtrak from Boston or New York to Mystic.

Will the after party have food?

Answer

We'll be providing trays of late night food at the after party. There will be a cash bar.
