We're fortunate to be moving into a furnished apartment when we arrive in the Netherlands. The logistics of moving things overseas are also challenging. Unfortunately, this means we cannot accept physical gifts. Yet, people graciously keep asking us to think of something for the registry. 

One aspect that makes physical gifts special is when you see them or use them, you are reminded of the person who gave it to you. We don't want to take that aspect away and want excuses to stay connected with our loved ones back home. 

In your card accompanying your generous gift, write a category. We will use your gift towards the category and whenever we use it or experience it, we know to shoot you a quick update or text or a call as an excuse to catch up and stay connected!
