We're tying the Knot!

We met (or, should we say matched) on the dating app Hinge on July 17th, 2022. Kyle sent a like to Steph first and made his move by asking what was her favorite book; a sure-fire way to win her over. After a few weeks of chatting, we decided to meet up at a local Mexican restaurant to see if things matched up in person. Over chips and queso, quesadillas, and churros we bonded over our mutual love of board games, reading, and even high fived over the fact that we both hate the taste of alcohol! After dinner, we both went home with smiles on our faces and the feeling of love blooming in our hearts. In the months after that first date, we continued to spend time together and enjoyed getting to know each other. On September 3rd, 2022, after an amazing dinner cooked by Kyle's roommate Keith, we took a walk around a pond behind his apartment building, and we made it official (in the words of Kyle) and became boyfriend and girlfriend. Since September, we have grown closer together and gotten to know each other's families and friends. Over many dates and countless hours hanging out on Steph's couch watching Grey's Anatomy and eating our favorite dessert (chocolate chip cookies and vanilla ice cream), our love bloomed. On July 9th, 2023 Kyle got down on one knee and proposed to Steph in the location she always dreamed of: the beach. The proposal was beautiful, filled with love and a bit of humor, as Kyle jokingly proposed with a blue ring pop before taking out the actual ring. Later that night Kyle also planned a surprise dinner at Steph's favorite restaurant with our closest family and friends. If the ring hadn't sealed the deal, the butter cake given out for dessert sure did. We are so excited to celebrate with you at our wedding in July!
