I remember walking onto the Naples Princess Dinner Cruise that night to meet my entire family. We had tried to get together three times prior to celebrate my Parent's 40th Anniversary and my Dad's 60th Birthday but fate had other plans. The day had finally come... July 27th, 2019. If you have never been on this dinner cruise, let me explain the setting. There are roughly 150 guests on the boat. The seating is family style. There were long tables with guests from several parties sitting together. The name tags are preset at the tables, roughly 10-12 guests per table. So there we are, a party of nine with a couple of open seats at the end of our table... the name tag read "Strange, Party of 2". I remember coming to my chair and grabbing by baby nephew Colton on the way. He was sitting on my lap when the last few members of our table came to sit down. He was handsome and he was with his Mom. One of the first things I said to him was that Colton was NOT mine. He knew right away the underlining of that statement. We talked nearly the entire time. We sat and rolled our eyes and our Mothers chatted about how we were mid to late 30's, single with no grandchildren for them in site. As we were getting ready to leave he still had not asked for my number. I figured I would take my chances and be bold and ask for his. To this day he says he was waiting to be a gentleman and ask for mine when we were away from all our family members. Regardless, numbers were exchanged. We went on our first official date three days later and the rest is history.
