Ryan and I were on our way to Texas Roadhouse (one of our favorite restaurants), and Ryan said he wasn’t quite hungry yet, so we should drive around Vander Veer Park (Davenport, IA) to look at lights since Christmas lights were still up. We drove around the park and then came upon a beautiful area with lit up arches. Ryan wanted to walk over to look at them (or so I thought) so we got out of his car and walked through the snow. All of a sudden, he started saying really sweet things and while it was snowing, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him… And I said yes!

I remember telling one of the guys I worked with that the new guy in the café was kind of cute (Ryan was wiping down the glass doors in front of the café)... And Ryan said he remembered watching me walk in one day and he knew he wanted to get to know me - not too long after that we were on our first date and I was nervously throwing a french fry across Applebee’s...
