No. We had a wonderful, small ceremony last year and this party is strictly about celebrating. Please show up ready for a fun afternoon of eating and drinking with some wonderful people.
Since the event is on a cruise, the ship requires a minimum of three weeks before the departure of whom will be boarding so they can provide each person with a boarding pass. We will be cutting off RSVP August 6, 2021.
Chicago is serviced by two airports, both have reliable, easy to use public transit, to and from the city. The major airport to the west is O'hare (ORD) and the the other is Midway (MDW) to the south.
The easiest and most convenient way to get around the city is hailing an Uber (http://www.uber.com/invite/bbdyx). The next best thing is Chicago's public transit, the elevated/underground trains and buses. Just find a nearby station and purchase a CTA pass and you're good to go for both transits.
The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat
The pick up point is outside in Navy Pier right across from Tiny Tavern.
August in Chicago tends to have warm afternoons and early evenings with mostly comfortable mornings and nights. Don't forget your sunglasses, we will be outside (weather permitting).
The boat will leave the dock at 12:15 pm. Please arrive by 12pm to get on to the boat and find your seats. Once everyone arrives, the boat will sail into Lake Michigan for an afternoon cruise.
This will be a brunch reception so expect to find a mix between breakfast and lunch. Beer and wine will be provided as well as a Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar. Cheers!
