It was late March of 2019, just a few weeks before Tiffany’s 39th birthday, when she was invited to a friend’s house to try a newly released but hard to find whiskey and do some catching up. While catching up and sipping their cocktails, Tiffany’s friend mentioned that her husband, was on the way home from an AAU basketball game and was bringing a friend home with him. With the mention of Latitudes takeout and a second round of cocktails, Tiffany was persuaded to stick around to meet this friend. About an hour later, her friend’s husband arrived with Travis and the two were introduced. The four of them enjoyed some cocktails while chatting away about AAU basketball, politics and traveling. Tiffany was totally engrossed in giving her opinion about a particular topic, not noticing that Travis was intently watching her. She did however notice he wasn’t drinking his drink and respectively called him out. Travis stated he wasn’t really a drinker to which only amped Tiffany up to get him to drink. Unbeknownst to Tiffany, Travis was more intrigued by her than his drink….as he stated, “you were loud, pretty and smart…I knew I wanted you, it was something about you”. The two exchanged numbers and text over the next few days. On March 29, 2019…. Travis planned a date for the two of them to the gun range. Tiffany wasn’t sure what to think...but she did like the fact he thought outside the box for a first date activity. During the pandemic, Tiffany and Travis’s relationship grew deeper and stronger. They focused on building a friendship, just enjoying each other’s company, traveling and gaining a better understanding and respect for each other. It was on a trip to Myrtle Beach, June 22, 2020, while watching the sun rise, Travis told Tiffany, he wanted more, his exact words “I want all or nothing” that they officially became a couple.
Tiffany fell in love with Travis’s drive, thoughtfulness, sense of humor, his kind heart, the way he encouraged her, his entrepreneurial mind and beautiful spirit. He made her feel she could be her true self. He cared for and treated her daughters like they were his own. Travis says he fell for Tiffany the day they met! He says he heard her voice, and of course her noise, as she walked around the corner with the biggest smile. The more they talked that day, he knew she was the one. As time has passed, he has fallen more in love with her mind, character, and the way she loves. He has repeatedly said, when you know you know. Tiffany loves Valentines Day…Travis says, she loves all holidays but this one was special because it was their first Valentines Day as an official couple. Tiffany hired a private chef to come to the house to cook a surprise dinner for the two of them. While getting ready for dinner, Travis kept going downstairs to talk to the chef which was driving Tiffany crazy because she didn’t want him to see what she had planned. Back and forth he kept going but little did she know he was planning his own surprise with the help of the chef. After a beautiful dinner, the chef brought out a chocolate teddy bear with a little hammer to thank Tiffany for choosing him to cater their dinner. Tiffany was elated because she’d seen videos of people breaking into chocolate molds with hammers on social media and was too hype to try it herself and see what was inside. While Tiffany vigorously focused on breaking into the bear with the little hammer, the chef tells Tiffany, “be careful with the hammer, it looks like something is in your way”. Tiffany agreed and went to remove the dangling piece of interference from the hammer to gain a better grip, only to see it was a ring. Tiffany turned to Travis who was on his knee….with tears falling uncontrollably from her eyes…Travis asked to marry Tiffany… February 14, 2021. On July 2,2022, they will say I do.
