Fun on the Amalfi Coast

Amalfi is one of the most historic towns along the Amalfi Coast. It was very successful for a long time during the Middle Ages when its fleet dominated the Mediterranean’s trade routes. Today, you can still see many historical buildings that prove the former city’s wealth. The crystal clear water, beautiful white buildings spread over the mountain and long beach make a vacation in Amalfi unforgettable. In addition to that, the small coastal town and its surroundings offer numerous cultural attractions. Amalfi has hundreds of tiny, charming streets that are not big enough for cars. Therefore, you can enjoy peaceful walking around the town. There is a real maze of small narrow streets, so exploring most of them can be really exciting as there are many hidden gems to discover. Keep in mind that Amalfi has a lot of stairs, so you will have to walk uphill a lot.
Villa Ruffolo Gardens

Villa Ruffolo Gardens

When it was built in the 13th century, Villa Rufolo was one of the largest and most luxurious villas on the Amalfi Coast. It was built by a wealthy merchant and during the 14th century, banquets for kings and nobility were held here. Villa Rufolo is now a popular tourist destination in Italy. Each summer, the Ravello Festival is held here. From the botanical gardens, you look out over the Amalfi Coast and the towns of Minori and Amalfi, making this one of the most beautiful viewpoints in all of the Amalfi Coast. Capturing the photo of the tree, the church, and the Amalfi Coast is one of the most iconic shots of Ravello.
