We're Getting Married

We went to school together at Delaware Academy. We knew each other and had mutual friends but we ran in different circles. I came back home for our 30 year high school reunion with high school bestie Jen Bettiol. I thought it would be a good idea to go for a hike with Jen and Melissa Mostert. That was incorrect. Pulled a muscle. That afternoon at a class party, I was struggling to go up and down a hill in a friends back yard to get to the beer cooler so Steven, being the gentleman that he is, carried me piggyback up and down the hill. From there we started texting non-stop, talking on the phone daily and monthly visits to see each other. And as they say the rest is history.

Steven's parents met at Nick's Diner. We mentioned it to my mom and she said that when her and dad's wedding announcement was going to come out in the paper they spent the night at Nick's Diner to get the first copy of the paper. That's when Steven decided that he would propose there. He excused himself from the table. walked away and then all of a sudden he is on one knee beside me and asked if I would be his wife. The waitress came by, heard about his proposal and brought us cheesecake with strawberries and candles.
