Below, you'll find answers to some frequently asked questions about the event. Be sure to explore every tab on the website, there's lots of information we are excited to share with all of you! We can't wait!
Question

Is the location of the Ceremony and Reception different?

Answer

Yes, please refer to the Schedule page. Ceremony will be outside, rain or shine so we hope to see you there!

Question

Is there parking for the Ceremony or Reception?

Answer

Yes, there is parking available. For the Ceremony, parking may be limited but there is a small parking lot at the end of the driveway and additional spots along the driveway and street. As the street is narrow and Mass is held here weekly, locals are familiar with the parking situation on weekends. For the Reception, there are ample spots available in a full parking lot.

Can we go elsewhere to purchase items on the registry?

Answer

Yes, if you find the same item at a more reasonable price, we encourage you to purchase elsewhere.

Is the registry for the Bridal Shower or the Wedding?

Answer

The registry is primarily for the Bridal Shower, but you're welcome to purchase items from the registry for the Wedding as well. There may be some items still available after the shower, and we'd be grateful for the purchase of any of them.

When purchasing on the registry, should we ship to our house or Julia & Steven's house?

Answer

Please ship registry gifts to your home address, as they will be opened with everyone at the Bridal Shower. For any gifts purchased after the shower, you're welcome to have them delivered to our home address. Thank you so much for your generosity!

What do we do between the Ceremony and the Reception?

Answer

There will be a cash bar open at the reception from 1:30-3pm, before cocktail hour. Feel free to head over after the ceremony.

How do we get around?

Answer

Unfortunately, shuttle services won't be provided for this event. We recommend using public transportation like the LIRR or ride services such as Uber or Lyft for easy access to the event. If you prefer to drive, there are several rental car locations nearby.

What about dietary restrictions/allergies?

Answer

The reception will be buffet style and provide many options for any restrictions. Please feel free to ask a server if needed.

Where is the Photo Booth?

Answer

The Photo Booth will be located in the bar area.

Question

Can we leave our vehicle at the reception, Portuguese American Center of Suffolk, after the event if we are not up to driving?

Answer

Yes, please feel free to leave your vehicle at the reception area if you do not feel safe to drive. Vehicles can be left overnight and picked up in the morning. Please drive safely everyone, thank you!

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Plus ones are specified on each invitation. Please indicate if you will be bringing a plus one on the invitation reply card, before mailing it back.

Is there going to be an afterparty?

Answer

An informal afterparty will be open to all party goers on Main Street in Patchogue. The invitation is open to anyone who would like to grab a final drink after the event. There will be no transportation offered to get to Patchogue, please feel free to use Uber/Lyft and please drive safely if driving after the party. Location will be announced by DJ at end of reception.

Please feel free to ask either the Bride or the Groom's mother for additional details. We cannot wait to celebrate our big day with all of you!
