Our first date started with Steven picking Jules up outside of Sweet Briar's Randolph dorm in his 1986 Toyota pick-up truck, and ended with us sitting on the tailgate, star-gazing in the college's observatory field. That was all it took.

On our five-year anniversary trip to Amherst, meticulously planned by Steven, we enjoyed a picnic of Briar Patch take-out (Jules' favorite) in that same observatory field. Steven proposed that evening where we had star-gazed five years and two days before.
