Rental Car
For guests who would like to see Iceland outside of city center of Reykjavík, we recommend renting a car as that is the best way to see this beautiful country! For guests who are deciding not to partake in the tour or stay in Vic, we recommend renting a car. It takes about 2.5 hours to get to Vik from Reykjavík via car.

We recommend those who are from NJ to book their flight from Newark (EWR) to Keflavik International Airport (KEF) and to book no later than two months in advance. As of right now, flights are around $600.00 - $700.00 round trip but this is subject to change based off of availability. Most flights to Iceland are evening or overnight flights which would get you there early morning of the next day.

Here is additional information on transportation including options for airport shuttles, public buses rental cars, and taxis. Uber and Lyft do not exist in Iceland as of yet.
Travel Note
What is the temperature in Iceland in August? August is one of the warmest months of the year in Iceland. The average daily temperature hovers around 50-59°F (10-15°C), but it can leap up to 77°F (25°C). Rain and chilly arctic breezes are possible, so be sure to pack for all types of weather. For our dinners/gatherings, we recommend dressy casual, semi-formal or cocktail attire. For our ceremony, it will be formal or black-tie optional. Bridal party, please pack your dresses and suits for the special day! If you are venturing to Blue Lagoon, please pack swimwear. We have also included a link to an example packing list for inspiration.
