We met at a dating segment on Facebook that was just launched a few days at the time and we talked for a few days. We just talked about cooking, food and mostly fun things under the sun.

We decided to meet at Urth Caffe in Pasadena, California late that night to finally see each other. We spoke about our love for our families and spent the night just talking about life.

After days of talking to each other, Steve finally asked Mica to be his girlfriend. <3 Everything was a rollercoaster ride. We had our ups and downs. We got stuck together figuring out life when the pandemic hit. We shared our tears, laughter, struggles and dreams everyday. We learned how to grow in our relationship by being vulnerable to each other and just having each others' backs - by not giving up, persevering and letting God guide us throughout the way.

Through our relationship, we had a lot of things we had to compromise and learn. God worked His way through us and let us bend through all the circumstances in life. He showed us that the moment you believe and ask for rescue, He will show you the way. Our imperfections were molded by God to guide us through the narrow path - long and hard - and eventually worth it. The time He has gifted us to get to know each other and accept every side of ourselves, was what kept us going. We had endured two break ups and eventually realized that being not together is not the solution. What we had built was worth fighting for and the answer to our every question is GOD. Through the help of our loving parents, their never-ending prayers and advices and seeds of faith they have instilled in our souls, we surrendered our whole being to the goodness of the Lord. With this, time went by so fast and we just kept growing in love.

We visited Steve's parents up in San Bernardino, California to celebrate and be with family and talk about the love for his parents and rebuilding everything together. We prayed, sang and worshipped God through the help of Steve's parents and we were asked if we see each other in our futures. When the question was presented to us, Mica was asked if she sees herself with Steve and if she is willing to accept everything - flaws and all - about him. And of course, she said, "Yes!" Steve asked her three times and with no hesitation, the answer was still a loving "Yes".

The ring came after and we made it social media official on July 25th of 2023. We had to just 'cause we are so excited to show the world!
