Finally Making it Official!!

We met while opening a restaurant together in 2008. We noticed each other within the first few days of working together, and started dating shortly thereafter. In November of 2009, I went on a family trip to Mexico, which we all go on every 2 years, and when I was there, Kelly sent me the sweetest message. It was the lyrics from one of my favorite songs, but she thought I did not know that and would think she wrote them. I replied to her message with the rest of the lyrics to OUR song and at that moment I knew it would be forever.

We were having lunch with the family at my moms with our loved ones. Everyone there knew the plan, except Kelly. I told her she had to help me with something outside and when we got down the front steps, I was in front of her, I turned around and took a knee. The whole family looking on from the front porch, Kelly was caught off guard but she cried and said YESS!!!
